NetCracker Technology announced that Lightower Fiber Networks will upgrade to NetCracker 9.0 in order to improve its network resource visualization efforts.
Lightower Networks, which merged with Sidera Networks early last year, will use NetCracker’s resource inventory solution to manage its 20,000 mile, all-fiber network, which serves more than 7,500 locations.
“NetCracker is a leader in the OSS domain and a proven partner for Lightower,” said Jason Campbell, COO, Lightower. “Upgrading to NetCracker 9.0 and adopting its innovations was a clear choice to complement Lightower’s growth and network implementation goals. Additionally, it enhances Lightower’s ability to respond to our customers’ increasing demands for our high-performance networking solutions.”
The upgrade will also enable graphical views of floor space, rack space, metro Ethernet topology, Ethernet ring, and DWDM in order to visualize resource inventory, improve network planning and optimization, and improve Lightower’s planning abilities.
NetCracker’s customers include Bright House Networks, Cox Communications, AT&T, Suddenlink Communications, and Time Warner Cable.
