Telit Wireless Solutions announced its full family of HE910 3G and 4G modules received AT&T certification for use on the carrier’s HSPA and HSPA+ wireless network. Featuring a low profile, low power consumption and advanced connectivity features, the six modules within the HE910 family are ideal for compact, high-bandwidth mobile computing applications that will benefit from the widespread network coverage AT&T offers.
“Through AT&T’s certification, Telit is equipped to offer our customers certified modules that reduce the time-to-market and technical risk associated with taking on an M2M application design,” said Mike Ueland, senior vice president and general manager of Telit Wireless Solutions North America.
Telit’s HE910 family modules are part of the xE910 form factor family, with all regional and network variants featuring a 28.2 x 28.2 x 2.2mm LGA package and providing an ultra-low profile in the integrated solution. The AT&T approved variants include:
- 4G modules for global deployments, including a full-featured HE910 (also known as HE910-G), with HSPA+ data, voice and GPS capabilities, and the HE910-D, offering data-only functionality
- The AT&T Mobile Broadband Accelerator Program-certified HE910-GA, including quad-band 4G with HSPA+ data, voice and GPS capabilities
- 3G modules designed to serve the North American market, namely the HE910-NAR, with data and voice, the data-only HE910-NAD, and the data- and GPS-enabled HE910-NAG
These embedded modules are among the smallest and most lightweight in the market today, reducing costs in high-volume applications and in portable devices. Telit’s HE910 family modules support all five existing frequency bands in 3G mode: 850/900/1700/1900/2100MHz. The modules also offer ubiquitous 2G coverage with quad band GPRS and EDGE class 12, facilitating worldwide application deployments.
