Mediacom Communications is now offering TV Everywhere services from Big Ten Network to authenticated subscribers in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota and parts of other Midwestern states.
Mediacom customers in those areas can now access BTN2Go live, which is a 24/7 multi-platform extension from Big Ten Network (BTN). BTN2Go features a live feed of all BTN television programming, including live game telecasts, as well as extra football game channels, which are part-time channels only available during football season, when BTN airs multiple football games simultaneously.
BTN2Go viewers also have on-demand access to BTN’s video archive, including current season games from the Big Ten Conference’s television partners, as well as game highlights and original Big Ten programming.
Mediacom subscribers can catch the sports action on four platforms: the Web and iPad, iPhone and Android devices.
“BTN2Go delivers an innovative new experience that Mediacom is proud to offer to customers who are passionate Big Ten fans,” said Ed Pardini, Mediacom’s senior vice president for national field operations. “For no additional charge, we want our customers to access programming that is part of their video subscription, with the ability to watch any time on any mobile device or high-speed Internet connection – it’s TV Everywhere.”
BTN, which is a joint venture between the Big Ten Conference and Fox Networks, also counts Comcast, Charter Communications, Cox Communications, Bright House Networks and Time Warner Cable among its cable operator customers.
