Redbox has tapped Mediamorph to help manage its growing lineup of content partners as the company expands its digital footprint with a recently launched online streaming service.
Per the agreement, Redbox will leverage Mediamorph’s platform to help streamline the process of avails management and pricing.
Redbox, known for its network of more than 41,500 self-service entertainment kiosks offering DVD, Blu-ray Disc and video game rentals, launched the Redbox On Demand online streaming service last December. The service is available through the Redbox website, apps for Android and iOS devices, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, and LG and Samsung smart TVs.
“With the launch of Redbox On Demand, we sought out a partner to help streamline our avails management, content ordering and pricing management processes,” said Lowell Bike, director of product management at Redbox, in a statement. “By leveraging Mediamorph’s cloud solution and industry-specific systems, we can seamlessly scale our content offering and ramp up to support consumer demand.”
Mediamorph, a provider of cloud-based rights management software for media and entertainment clients, counts Liberty Global, Frontier Communications, Altibox, and Altice among its customers.
