Medidata Solutions Inc., which makes software and services for clinical development of drugs and medical devices, said Monday it acquired clinical trial management systems developer Clinical Force. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Medidata, which is based in New York, said it expects the deal to be closed early in the third quarter. It said Clinical Force, which is based in the United Kingdom, has an approach to clinical trial management systems that has broad appeal to large clinical development organizations, mid-market sponsors and regional contract research organizations. Clinical Force has customers in North America, Europe and India.
Shares of Medidata climbed 44 cents, or 2 percent, to close Monday at $21.84.
