Senior residents in Novi, Michigan’s Fox Run Retirement Community will now be able to surf the web at lightning speeds thanks to internet and WiFi upgrades from Comcast.
The operator this week announced it is providing its Advanced Communities Network (ACN) services to the more than 1,200 residents in the complex. Comcast’s Xfinity ACN is a fiber-based solution that can provide properties with gigabit speeds.
“New residents have a high level of expectation for technology service when they are selecting a retirement community which is why we continually seek to improve the package we offer,” says Michael McCormick, executive director at Fox Run. “Xfinity Communities allows us to provide advanced video services that include high-definition TV and a voice-activated remote control – without any additional cost. Additionally, we can offer guests a public WiFi connection when they visit our property, allowing them to stay connected on the go.”
The Xfinity ACN currently serves more than 189,000 properties and 14.7 million units. And Comcast appears to be expecting that figure to grow.
“Technology options remain one of the top amenities for multifamily developments and retirement communities,” Michael Slovin, vice president of Xfinity Communities, observed. “As such, Xfinity Communities has significantly invested in bringing these properties advanced network services that provide residents with high-quality offerings and first-class customer service.”
