Million Women Mentors State Town Hall

December 3, 2014 By ECN Staff

In a Town Hall style format on Thursday, December 4th, 2014 from 2:00-3:00pm EST the Million Women Mentors, (MWM) team brings to you an esteemed panel of speakers.  You will hear from state leaders and representatives from Tennessee, Iowa, Texas, and Massachusetts along with MWM nonprofit partners American Association of University Women (AAUW), and National Girls Collaborative Project (NGCP).  They will share their success in mobilizing the states and leveraging existing STEM networks to advance girls and young women in STEM careers through mentoring.

The movement is growing as over 22 states have already signed on totaling over 172,000+ pledges and more states continue to pledge and join MWM’s call to action.  The state representatives and partners will discuss how to engage local and regional non-profit partners to help build the momentum and push forth mentoring efforts to address the gender parity prevalent in STEM fields.

Several key state leaders will share their experiences and also provide details on how to utilize the MWM state tool kit.  They will discuss how to best capture mentoring metrics, measure and track data, and achieve success for your state effort.

In addition to our speakers, you will hear from STEMconnector/Million Women Mentors CEO, Edie Fraser, National Senior Advisor Sheila Boyington, and Chief Partnership Officer Julie Kantor.

We look forward to your participation!

Sincerely,

The Million Women Mentor Team
