Minerva Networks announced a slate of hires to fill out its management ranks. Todd Clayton, Chuck Morris, Chuck Yort and Pancrazio Auteri have joined the company.
Clayton joins as vice president of strategic sales from 2Wire/Pace, where he held similar sales responsibilities.
Morris will take over as vice president of engineering, replacing Paul Tocatlian, who took a job with Payfone in February. Prior to Minerva, Morris held vice president of engineering positions at Omneon and Venturi Wireless.
Minerva’s new vice president of marketing and strategic alliances is Yort, who immediately before joining Minerva held the role of vice president and general manager of B2B solutions at Plantronics. He also spent time at Venturi Wireless, 3Com and Hewlett-Packard.
Auteri has joined the company as senior director of product management. Auteri, co-founder and CTO of TVBlob, recently moved to Minerva’s headquarters after its acquisition of TVBlob in late 2011.
TVBlob has a Web-based platform that allows quite literally anybody who uses the system to deliver content to TV viewers through a specialized box designed by the company. The initial version of the box includes a DVB-T tuner; support for BitTorrent; and built-in access to a portal to YouTube, Reeplay.it, Picasa, Miro and other Web-based content.
“As pay-TV service providers embrace IP-based solutions, the market is at an exciting juncture that will create tremendous growth opportunities,” said Mauro Bonomi, CEO of Minerva. “In preparation, Minerva has added key executives to provide invaluable industry experience and leadership.”
