Montana telecom picks up Occam’s BLC

Occam Networks Inc.’s Broadband Loop Carrier (BLC) system has been deployed by Fairfield, Mont.-based 3 Rivers Communications. Occam’s system will provide triple play services to the telecom’s customers in 30 Montana communities. 3 Rivers’ deployment of the BLC 6312 and 6252 blades is part of a network upgrade to push fiber to more than 10 central offices, with a series of 1-Gig connecting networks, Occam said. 3 Rivers offers dial-up, DSL and satellite Internet access, local and long distance phone service, and satellite TV.
