MPV1560RI4 Series, Compact 15W, 100 – 1,000 VDC Input DC/DC Converters

January 18, 2018 By ECN Staff

Available immediately, the MPV1560RI4 series is a family of 15W DC/DC converters specifically designed to meet the needs of large scale photovoltaic (PV) systems. They feature an ultra-wide 100 to 1000 VDC input, 4 kV isolation; compliance to EN 62109, compact packaging, and are available configured for chassis or DIN rail mounting.

Three models provide outputs of 12, 15 or 24 VDC. High performance features include 4,000 VAC isolation, tight line & load regulation, and high efficiency. All models meet the requirements of EN 62109 (including units on adapter boards) and are protected for over voltage, over current and short circuit faults. The MPV1560RI4 MTBF is greater than 300 khours (per MIL HDBK 217F).

All MPV1560RI4 models are packaged in a compact 2.75 x 1.89 x 0.92 inch, encapsulated case. Each model is specified for operation over the wide operating temperature range of -40°C
to +70°C ambient. Cooling is by free-air convection. All models are available on chassis mount or DIN rail mount adapters.

The MPV1560RI4 series provides the high performance features, compact size, rugged packaging, high reliability and economy required for commercial/industrial grade photovoltaic applications.

All MicroPower Direct products are designed to provide long, reliable field life. Considerable attention is given to the proper selection, derating, and layout of all circuit components. In addition, extensive reliability screening is also performed on all modules as a routine part of our production process.
