AMETEK Land will exhibit at NCSL International Workshop and Symposium, August 13-17, 2017 at the Gaylord National Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland US, Booth 209.
This year’s NCSL International conference, which is focused on” Precision and Performance with Measurement Science”, will consider how industry adjusts to new, more stringent requirements specified in the forthcoming revision of ISO/IEC 17025 (General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories).
As Theresa Churilla, Laboratory Manager – USA for AMETEK Land, comments, “We are excited to be part of this year’s conference discussion on the approaching ISO/IEC 17025 revision, as it marks the first time in 16 years that the principal benchmarks for quality and integrity in testing and calibration will be changed.”
During the conference, AMETEK Land will present its accredited best-in-class Certification and Calibration Service, which ensures users that they will obtain the optimal operating performance from their temperature measurement systems, improve the accuracy of their measurement capability, and meet required national and international quality standards.
AMETEK Land’s worldwide certification laboratories calibrate in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and are accredited by national bodies to offer a comprehensive service for the certification of infrared thermometers, thermal imagers, scanners and blackbody sources. Laboratory facilities are located in United Kingdom, United States and India.
The certification service verifies the performance accuracy of an instrument at a given point in time by quantifying its errors, and these are then recorded in a national accreditation certificate confirming the instrument meets the requirements of ISO / IEC 17025:2005.
AMETEK Land also will showcase its comprehensive range of LANDCAL blackbody calibration sources that provide high-precision calibration of radiation thermometers within the temperature range -10 to 1600 °C (15 to 2900 °F), available for use both on-site and under laboratory conditions.
AMETEK Land offers both primary and reference blackbody calibration sources. The calibration of a primary source is traceable directly to National Standards via a certified probe installed in the radiation cavity, whereas traceability for a reference source can be achieved either by using optional certified radiation thermometers for calibration by the comparison method, or by purchasing a certified source with a certification certificate.
In addition, AMETEK Land will display its latest fixed SPOT pyrometers and portable Cyclops L thermometers. Both devices utilize the latest technologies for making infrared non-contact temperature measurement accurate, flexible and easy to use.
AMETEK Land’s services and instruments are used across industries to improve practical temperature measurement, maintain continued compliance, and ensure traceability to national and international standards.
