The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) and Tuck Executive Education at Dartmouth today announced today that Michael Powell, president and CEO of the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA), will serve as the featured guest presenter for the SCTE-Tuck Executive Leadership Program.

Powell, who served as Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission from 2001-2005 and was an FCC Commissioner for eight years, will offer his perspectives on the industry that will complement the business and leadership topics in the SCTE-Tuck curriculum.

The leadership program will run from April 28 to May 3, at the Tuck School of Business on the Dartmouth College campus.

Over the past two years SCTE-Tuck Executive Leadership Program and a companion initiative, the SCTE-Georgia Tech Management Development Program, have attracted more than 120 executives from the cable industry. 

“In today’s environment, there is tremendous value in arming current and future technologists with the broadest possible knowledge of the industry,” said Mark Dzuban, president and CEO of SCTE.  “Michael Powell’s insights will complement the critical thinking and leadership skills learned at SCTE-Tuck, so that our executives can better make the technology and business decisions that serve the public good and drive our industry forward.”

Applications are now being accepted for the SCTE-Tuck program, which is open to qualified executives in the United States and abroad.  Additional information is available from the SCTE.  The application deadline is March 15, and the class size is limited.
