NetLogic Processor Selected for Samsung Video Projector

Las Vegas, Nevada and Mountain View, Calif. – Jan. 6, 2010 – NetLogic Microsystems, Inc. [NASDAQ: NETL], a worldwide leader in high-performance intelligent semiconductor solutions for next-generation Internet networks, today announced that its Au1250® processor, a member of its Ultra Low-Power Alchemy® Processor family, has been selected by Samsung Electronics to power Samsung’s industry-leading SP-L305 Networked Video Projector for enterprises and small/midsized businesses. Samsung’s SP-L305 Projector will be showcased by NetLogic Microsystems at this week’s International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2010 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, South Hall, Booth #35268.

Samsung’s SP-L305 Projector is an advanced device capable of projecting video, audio, digital photos and documents with a 3000-lumens XGA (Extended Graphics Array) projection resolution. The projector supports intelligent network connectivity by allowing users to remotely manage the projector over the enterprise network. In addition, the SP-L305 projector allows users to project content from multiple sources, including the PC, portable media players (PMP), MP4P video players and USB flash memory devices through a wide range of interconnectivity options, including D-sub, S-video, HDMI, DVI and USB. The Samsung projector integrates 2-channel stereo speakers, a five-band equalizer, manual focus and zoom control, and supports multiple media content format, including MPEG4, Divx, WMV9, Xvid and MP3.

NetLogic Microsystems’ low-power Au1250 processor offers a high-performance 5-stage pipeline architecture running at 700MHz, and integrates a high-performance video processor, a best-in-class LCD controller with four graphics planes for 32-bit aRGB, and a Media Acceleration Engine™ (MAE) for H.264, MPEG 1/2/4, DivX, XviD, WMV9 and VC-1 hardware acceleration.
