United Online said it is bundling its NetZero Voice 100 Internet phone plan with its accelerated NetZero HiSpeed 3G Internet service. United Online claims to be the first major ISP to add free VoIP calling to its access plan.
HiSpeed 3G users will now be able to make 100 minutes per month of free calls to any phone number in the United States, Canada or Puerto Rico using their computer.
NetZero HiSpeed 3G can be purchased at https://www.netzero.com/ for as low as $9.95 with a 12-month commitment. Anyone who signs up for a NetZero HiSpeed 3G account will receive a NetZero Voice 100 account as part of their plan. Existing NetZero HiSpeed 3G members will be given the opportunity to activate a free NetZero Voice 100 account online for no extra charge. In addition, existing NetZero Platinum and free NetZero ISP users will be given the chance to upgrade their service to HiSpeed 3G to qualify for the bundled offer.
All NetZero Voice plans work over dial-up and broadband Internet connections regardless of the Internet service provider.
NetZero HiSpeed 3G members who subscribe to the new bundle can choose a personal phone number, including area code, which allows them to make and receive Internet calls. In addition, they receive an assortment of other premium features.
