Five new channels and special holiday content are set to come to Xumo next month.
In December, the free, ad-supported OTT video service will add VidaPrimo, featuring Latin urban music and Reggaeton videos, interviews, and concerts; Above Average, a story-telling channel with a comedy slant; Toon Googles, featuring educational cartoons and live action shows for kids; and USA Today Sports’ Channels, including Sports Wire and MMA junkie.
As for seasonal content, Xumo subscribers will have access to Santa tracking from CBS News, holiday gift guides from CNET, holiday pet videos from The Pet Collective, and holiday recipes from Tastemade and Epicurious, among others.
During the holiday season Xumo will also feature live concerts every Wednesday night from Austin Music Live (channel 284 on Xumo).
Xumo, which now offers more than 125 live and on-demand channels, can be accessed through smart TVs, mobile, and other streaming devices. In October, Layer3 TV became the first MVPD to integrate Xumo on its set-top boxes.
