Pasternack releases line of medium-power attenuators
Pasternack Enterprises has a new line of 50-watt medium- power attenuators. The line of medium-power attenuators eliminates the need for coaxial adapters or custom cable jumpers to change connector types.
The new attenuators can be ordered with any combination of passivated stainless steel SMA, TNC and N connectors, as well as silver-plated brass 7/16 DIN connectors.
Pasternack medium-power RF attenuators operate from DC to 18 GHz, depending on connector configuration.
They come in 3 dB, 6 dB, 10 dB, 20 dB, 30 dB, 40 dB and 50 dB models, with a total of 294 different models available, and all are RoHS-compliant.
Pasternack’s medium-power attenuators have an average power rating of 50 watts and a peak power rating of 500 watts. They are manufactured with large cooling fins, which help to quickly dissipate heat during usage. The cooling allows these RF components to operate between a temperature range of -55 to +125 degrees Celcius, making them ideal for a wide range of environmental conditions in the lab and in the field.

Multicom debuts ZeeVee HDbridge2000
Multicom has introduced a new lower-cost clear QAM SD/HD video distribution solution that eliminates the need for a set-top box.
The ZeeVee HDbridge2000 series encoder /modulator converts video sources such as satellite receivers, media players, DVDs, PCs and security cameras into digital cable channels that can be broadcast over existing coaxial cable to any HDTV, without the need for a STB.
The ZeeVee HDbridge2000 series lowers the price per channel by multiplexing channels to increase density. There are multiple options, from 480i all the way up to 1080p. Coupled with the new layout configuration, a headend can consume up to as little as half the rack space as previous systems, the company said.
Included standard in the series is a complete remote management solution, allowing control of every HD modulator from a single source without any special software. Additionally, the output level has increased to +45dB.
Fujitsu intros Flashwave CDS 6.1 platform
Fujitsu has announced the Flashwave CDS Micro Packet Optical Networking Platform (Packet ONP) for optical transport network (OTN) switching. The Flashwave CDS 6.1 complies with industry standards while providing 80G of non-blocking (any-to-any) ODU0/1/2 switching within a 2RU rack space.
The Flashwave CDS 6.1’s switching capabilities allow the OTN unit of the Flashwave CDS to not only act as a capable muxponder, but also to provide the functionality for versatile protection switching schemes, hairpinning applications and distributed switching applications, thereby providing smoother operations for managing and troubleshooting the network.
The OTN unit has a wide range of pluggable optics options, including an 88-channel full-band tuneable XFP that allows the user to bypass transponders when colocated with ROADMs for capex savings. This solution is designed, provisioned and operated using Fujitsu’s Netsmart Management complex that will decrease a carrier’s needed opex investment, the company said.

This is particularly important when dealing with services that cross multiple technologies, e.g., Ethernet/SONET/OTN.”
