Cloud Force Digital Media has joined the Reference Design Kit community. RDK is a pre-integrated software bundle that provides a common framework for powering customer-premises equipment from TV service providers, including set-tops, gateways, and converged devices.
Cloud Force Digital Media offers content distribution, marketing, and advertising strategies aimed at enabling companies to gain access to cloud distributors including the Comcast X1 platform and cloud user interfaces. The company reports it has licensed the RDK technology to create internet apps for operators, global programmers, service providers, and advertisers keen on the RDK software stack.
In other news, Cloud Force reports it is partnering with app developer To The New, which focuses on consolidating numerous different web properties into a single centralized web platform. This is said to allow service providers to reach market faster with an effective website and “engaging and contextual experience to subscribers.”
“Cloud Force and the RDK community are both focused on delivering next-generation interactive video services. In addition, by joining forces with To The New, Cloud Force will be able to deliver transformative apps that are a necessary part of this evolution,” E.J. Klein, CEO and founder at Cloud Force Digital Media, says.
