Residential subscribers looking for 1 Gbps services in NYC can now get it from RCN in its serviceable areas, including Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens with the help of DOCSIS 3.1 technology.

Residential service pricing is reported at $70/month for 12 months.

Other 1 gigabit providers the New York City area have mainly focused on business services. Stealth Communications lists an offering in the area for $850/month, and Pilot reports it has a 1,000 Mbps service in Manhattan for businesses for $1,000/month.
