On Tuesday, SCTE/ISBE revealed a slate of featured guest lecturers for its SCTE/ISBE Leadership Institute at Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business. The list includes executives from Alpha Technologies, Arris, Broadcom, Brocade Networks’ Ruckus business unit, Comcast, Cox, and SCTE/ISBE for the event that’s set for March 13-16.
Chris Bastian, SVP and CTO of SCTE/ISBE, will tackle trends in cable technology.
Wireless issues will be addressed by Charles Cheevers, CTO, consumer premises equipment at Arris; Selina Lo, CEO of Brocade’s Ruckus Wireless business unit; and Drew Davis, executive director, wireless technology at Cox.
Energy 2020 will be the topic of lectures from John Hewitt, SVP, broadband products group and North American cable sales at Alpha Technologies; Steve Bradley, AVP, environmental sustainability, Cox Enterprises; and Derek DiGiacomo, senior director, information systems and energy management program at SCTE/ISBE.
Evolving access networks will be tackled by Brian Wheeler, associate product line director at Broadcom; Dan Murphy, SVP, engineering and operations at Comcast; and Jeff Finkelstein, executive director of advanced technology at Cox.
SCTE/ISBE-Georgia Tech is now in its sixth year and is a technically oriented curriculum geared toward high-potential, mid-level cable engineering and operations professionals. According to SCTE/ISBE, the record 50 attendees rated last year’s program at 3.89 out of 4.0.
