Optimum Lightpath has stretched its reach for providing Ethernet services for its customers now that it has established a connection with Cenx’s New York exchange.
By using Cenx’s New York exchange, Optimum Lightpath can connect customers to more than 10 million Ethernet service locations worldwide to meet the increasing demand for flexible, high-performing, value-based telecommunications services.
Optimum Lightpath’s service enhancement comes as global organizations, such as those in the financial services sector, look to establish Ethernet-based, low-latency and high-bandwidth connections between locations in the New York metro area and key locations around the world.

Nan Chen, the president of Cenx, as well as the president and board director of the Metro Ethernet Forum, said his company has been working with Optimum Lightpath for the last several years on the development of its carrier Ethernet exchanges.
In June, Optimum Lightpath, which is a division of Cablevision, expanded its service into Telx’s Clifton, N.J., colocation and interconnection facility.
