For the 13th-straight year, Cablevision’s Optimum Lightpath division has won New York State Public Service Commission’s Commendation for Excellent Service award.
The award recognizes telecommunications providers that consistently provide the highest levels of service and quality to customers in New York State.
Optimum Lightpath serves a variety of commercial services sectors, including education, government, finance, health care, and media and entertainment, in its New York City metropolitan footprint with its high-speed metro Ethernet services.
“Thirteen consecutive years receiving the highest honor for excellent service given by the New York State Public Service Commission is a significant accomplishment that speaks to our continued network, customer service and product portfolio investments,” said Optimum Lightpath President Dave Pistacchio. “Optimum Lightpath does not take this recognition for granted and continues to work constantly to better understand and serve the needs of the broad range of mid-market and enterprise customers that it serves. We remain focused on delivering the cost-effective, innovative, Ethernet-based services that our customers need to be successful, along with the excellent service they’ve come to expect.”
Optimum Lightpath said the annual commission commendation recognized excellent service based on providers’ performance in relation to service quality standards it has established.
The criteria used to grant a commendation for excellent service included an evaluation of customer trouble report rates and are based on the low number of consumer complaints received by the commission.
Optimum Lightpath also announced this morning that it had increased its fiber-optic network from 4,000 route miles to 4,400 route miles, while its number of fiber-lit buildings has grown from 4,000 to 4,500.
