Traci Patterson has joined CED as Web/News Editor.
Patterson, who officially joined the publication on Feb. 20, will be taking a lead role in monitoring industry news and editing stories and items for CED Broadband Direct, CED’s electronic daily. Additionally, Patterson will be heading up the “Upfront” news section for the monthly print magazine and will contribute to magazine stories and features, including CED’s recently-launched “International Spotlight” section.
Patterson graduated from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in Evanston, Ill., with a master’s in magazine publishing. That followed a bachelor of science in journalism and communications from the University of Florida. She most recently served as a Web associate, market research associate, staff writer and staff photographer for the Reader’s Digest-Medill Collaboration, where Northwestern graduate students worked with the Digest to redesign its print and Web platforms.
Patterson has also worked as a freelance writer and as an editorial and features intern for the Windy City Times, The Satellite (a local arts magazine based in Gainesville, Fla.), and The Gainesville Sun.
