PCT International has announced its “Triton” brand of coaxial cable, which it said was the first significant coaxial drop cable innovation in more than 10 years.
PCT said its patent-pending Triton design simplified installation, increased network integrity service quality, and extended the ability to of the cable to maintain its peak performance standards over its service lifetime.
Created to combine the advantages of various existing, proven cable architectures, the Triton cable incorporates innovative construction techniques, including a new foil design. PCT said the resulting cable maintains the physical profile and ease of installation of smaller diameter cables, while providing the protection against noise and signal loss that characterize larger cable construction.
The Triton design is available in standard, tri-shield and quad-shield configurations.
“In the industry’s zeal to create a faster, more flexible network architecture, it’s often easy to overlook the coaxial cable itself,” said Steve Youtsey, president and CEO of PCT International. “PCT International’s philosophy has been that every part of the cable infrastructure contributes to overall network integrity, and no individual element can be taken for granted. This philosophy is the cornerstone of our ‘hardening-the-drop’ solution, our product designs and our innovations. Triton cable is emblematic of our dedication to innovate in every area to provide our customers with the best possible network performance.”
