Network performance and video quality management vendor Cheetah Technologies announced that Jeremy Bennington was recently promoted to general manager and vice president of its V-Factor business unit.
Cheetah has also named David Baranski as its new senior vice president of sales for the entire line of Cheetah products.
In addition to Bennington and Baranski, Cheetah also announced the promotions of Steven Santamaria to chief operating officer, Stefan Winkler to chief scientist and Praveen Mohandas to chief technologist.
“Digital video service quality is one of the key drivers of customer satisfaction in today’s competitive environment,” said Santamaria. “By combining the thought leadership of Jeremy and our senior management team with David Baranski’s extensive digital video experience, we are exponentially increasing our ability company-wide to create total solutions that optimize the quality of the products that are delivered by our customers.”
Bennington, who joined Cheetah in conjunction with the company’s acquisition of V-Factor from Symmetricom, worked on Symmetricom’s cable market strategy and led the company’s DOCSIS product development.
As a participant in the CableLabs DOCSIS 3.0 and Modular CMTS specifications efforts, he was an active contributor to the creation of specifications for business services and the DOCSIS Timing Interface.
Baranski most recently served as vice president of sales and support operations for IneoQuest. Prior to joining IneoQuest in 2007, Baranski was vice president of sales for the Americas for Terayon Communications Systems.
