Radiant Communications has released its VL3500 Series of MPEG-4 encoders and decoders.

The series handles numerous TV-over-IP apps, including remote broadcasting, enhanced distance learning, corporate training and security monitoring.

The VL3500 delivers audio and video via a cable modem or T-1 line with low bandwidth consumption.

The series permits multiple streams of video and data to be sent to multiple computers simultaneously.

Radiant designed its MPEG-4 VL3500 Series for point-to-point apps over Ethernet, the company said. Users can choose data rates ranging from 512 Kbps to 5 Mbps, as permitted by network bandwidth capacity.
