RCN Business announced it will extend its service area into New Jersey through its partnership with Cross River Fiber. The companies originally talked about their intention to work together in December, with the goal of expanding RCN Business’ voice and data solutions, along with access into key data centers in New Jersey.
Agents now have the ability to sell RCN Business’ portfolio of communications products and services to their customers in the Garden State. Cross River Fiber boasts a dense fiber network throughout its footprint, and RCN Business agents will have the ability to sell Ethernet services up to 10 Gbps and voice products, including next-gen hosted voice and business trunks, to companies over Cross River Fiber’s Ethernet network.
The relationship also provides access into key N.J. data centers, including facilities operated by Digital Realty, Savvis, Telx, IO, Net Access, Sentinel and Equinix.
Cross River Fiber is reportedly looking to enable RCN channel partners to have the ability to connect clients to more carrier hotels, data centers and customer locations. “As RCN Business extends its reach, their agents are now able to offer customers a secure and scalable network with access to dark fiber, wavelength, Ethernet and other critical network services,” Vincenzo Clemente, CEO of Cross River Fiber says.
