Wet Location Lamps Pose Shock Hazard
Technical Consumer Products (TCP) is recalling its 14 watt LED wet location PAR38 lamps.
The lamps, also sold under the Great Value Brand name, are white and produce a soft white (3,000 Kelvin) or bright white (5,000 Kelvin) color temperature.
According to the recall, “Water can enter the lamp in wet location applications, posing an electric shock hazard to the user.” However, no injuries have been reported.
Consumers should shut off power to the lights, remove the lamps to check the item number/date code of the recall, and contact TCP to receive a free replacement lamp with installation instructions.
The LED lamps were sold at Walmart and electrical distributors nationwide from May 2015 through October 2015 for about $20.

Overheating Battery Pack
Limoss is recalling its Limoss AKKU-PACK rechargeable lithium ion battery power packs due to a fire hazard.
The company has received two reports of the battery pack overheating, including one incident that resulted in undetermined fire damage. No injuries have been reported.
According to the recall, consumers should stop using the battery power packs and contact Limoss for a free replacement.
Manufactured in China, the product was sold at Best Home Furnishing, Flexsteel, and Palliser dealers nationwide and online at Amazon.com and other websites from November 2011 through August 2012 for approximately $100.

Fracturing Cement Table
Jofran is recalling its Boulder Ridge Rectangular 78” Dining Room Table due to a stress fracture which can form in the table, posing an injury hazard.
Although no known injuries have occurred, the firm did receive reports of 71 incidents of cement top stress fractures or cement tops breaking.
Consumers should stop using the table and contact the Jofran dealer where the table was purchased to schedule a free repair.
Manufactured in Vietnam, the table was sold at Jordan’s Furniture, Kittles Home Furnishings, Nebraska Furniture Mart, W.E. Smithe Furniture, and other retailers nationwide from May 2015 through October 2015 for approximately $1,100.

Utility Vehicle Poses Fire Hazard
Kubota Tractor Corp. is recalling its Kubota Utility Vehicle Model RTV-X1100C due to a fire hazard. The recall involves model year 2013, 2014, and 2015.
According to the recall, “Combustible debris can make contact with the exhaust manifold and ignite, posing a fire hazard.”
No injuries have yet to be reported; however the company has received seven reports of debris-related fires.
If in possession of the recalled vehicle, stop using it, park it away from combustible materials, and contact an authorized Kubota dealer for a free inspection and free repair.
Manufactured in the United States, the utility vehicles were sold at authorized Kubota dealers nationwide from October 2013 to October 2015 for between $21,000 and $22,000.

Blower/Vacs Recalled Due to Fire Hazard
The Craftsman brand is recalling two models of Craftsman 12 amp electric blower/vacs, which can catch fire, posing fire and burn hazards.
Only one injury has been reported, but seven reports of the blower/vacs catching fire have been received.
Consumers need to stop using the recalled blower/vacs and contact the Craftsman brand hotline for a full refund.
Manufactured in China, the products were sold at ACE Hardware, Orchard Supply Hardware, and Sears stores nationwide and online from January 2013 through October 2015 for between $50 and $100.

Transformers Pose Fire, Shock Hazards
Basler is recalling about 11,900 units of its Basler Class 2 electric transformers, because the “circuit breaker in the transformer can fail to trip, posing fire and electrical shock hazards.”
No injuries have been reported.
Manufacturers and distributors should stop distributing the transformers and contact Basler for a free replacement.
Consumers should not try to open or replace the transformers due to the potential shock hazard. Instead, they should contact the product’s manufacturer for more instructions.
Manufactured in Mexico, the product was sold from Basler Electric to manufacturers and distributors of end products that contain the transformers from September 2014 to November 2014 for various prices.

Malfunctioning Snowmobiles Pose Crash Hazard
Polaris is recalling 11 models of its 2015 Polaris Snowmobiles due to potential crash hazards.
According to the recall, “The steering pitman arm or drag link can crack and result in a loss of steering, posing a crash hazard.”
The company has received 11 reports of cracked or broken steering pitman arms, of which eight of the 11 reported loss of steering and three of the 11 reported a crash. Only one injury has been reported.
Consumers are told to stop using the snowmobiles and contact their local Polaris dealer to schedule a free repair.
Manufactured in the United States, the snowmobiles were sold at Polaris dealers nationwide from April 2014 through November 2015 for between $8,000 and $13,600.

Off-Highway Vehicles Recalled Due to Fire Hazard
Polaris is recalling its model year 2016 Polaris RZR XP Turbo recreational off-highway vehicles.
The vehicles’ oil drain line can leak, posing a fire hazard.
No injuries have been reported; however, the company did receive two reports of RZR XP Turbos with oil leaks and two reports of the vehicles catching on fire.
Customers should immediately stop using the vehicles and contact their local Polaris dealer for a free repair.

Burn Relief Gel Fails to Meet Child Resistant Closure Requirements
Dollar Tree is recalling its burn relief gel, because the packaging is not child resistant as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. The brand name is Assured.
According to the recall, “The burn relief gel contains lidocaine, posing a poisoning risk if swallowed.”
No incidents or injuries have been reported; nevertheless, consumers should stop using the recalled burn relief gel and take it to the store where purchased for a full refund.
