Music streaming service Spotify is set to launch videos and podcasts.
The Wall Street Journal Monday confirmed and earlier announcement from the company that the service is ready to roll out its video product to the market.
The new content will primarily be shot clips, like snippets from programs like Jimmy Kimmel Live, among others.
According to the Journal, Spotify has been testing the service on its apps for several months with about 10 percent of its total user base.
Shiva Rajaraman, Spotify’s vice president of product, told the Journal that getting music fans to go to the service for video would be tricky, noting that there is “no particular recipe for how to get this right.”
