In an effort to boost the worldwide presence of its TV Everywhere and IP video offerings, RGB Networks has hired Scott Pranger as its new vice president of global channels.
“Our direct sales team has had great success establishing our IP video products as the leading solution for TV Everywhere deployments in the Americas market,” said Jef Graham, CEO of RGB Networks. “Now is the perfect time to capitalize on our success and aggressively pursue the channel sales opportunity as the demand for multi-screen services accelerates globally.”
Pranger comes to Sunnyvale, Calif.-based RGB from rival Envivio, where he was vice president of global channels.
While at Envivio, Pranger led the company’s partnerships with key systems integrators and technology partners worldwide. These channel relationships have accounted for a significant share of Envivio’s sales, according to RGB’s press release.
“Having sold against RGB’s multi-screen offering, I have admired the scalability and flexibility of their solutions, as well as the breadth of their product line. As the multi-screen ecosystem evolves, these are important qualities that systems integrators look for from their partners,” said Pranger. “With the best IP video solutions in the market on my side, capable of delivering the next generation of multi-screen services, I’m eager to get started building a strong channel sales program that will help RGB capture even more of the TV Everywhere market.”
Prior to leading Envivio’s channel sales, Pranger held executive sales and leadership roles in the mobile and networking industries, where he built relationships and secured contracts with global systems integrators and leading technology providers.
RGB’s IP video solutions are field-deployed with more than 70 video service providers worldwide. On the multi-screen front, three of the largest multisystem operators in North America have rolled out TV Everywhere offerings with RGB’s technology at the core of their IP video networks.
