Rogers Communications has added new content to its Rogers On Demand Online service that launched in beta form in November of last year.
Rogers’ customers can access additional shows and films from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) Studios Inc., Corus Entertainment and E1 Entertainment through Rogers’ Web portal.
MGM will add 75 features including, “Rob Roy,” “UHF” and “RoboCop,” and 10 popular TV series such as “The Addams Family,” “American Gladiators” and “Fame.”
Corus Entertainment’s content will include episodes of lifestyle programming from W Network experts while E1 Entertainment brings feature film titles such as “Trailer Park of Terror” and “Steel Trap.”
Rogers said it would be announcing additional content partnerships for On Demand Online ranging from lifestyle shows to popular TV series and feature films.
Since last year’s launch, the service has grown to include over 20 partners with a video library of more than 1,500 hours of content. The online video service launched with more than 1,000 hours of content from 17 broadcast and production partners and 30 channels.
Once users register on Rogers’ Web portal, the service is available to its subscribers via an Internet connection anywhere in Canada.
