Rogers Wireless has set May 31, 2007, as the date it will shut down its old TDMA wireless network. The company also announced its plans for migrating its remaining TDMA customers to its newer GSM network at no extra cost.
TDMA and analog customers will keep their existing phone numbers and service plans after the transition, the company said.
Rogers has already begun a program to contact customers through letters, notifications on bills and intercept calls to ensure its remaining TDMA and analog customers upgrade to its GSM network prior to the end of May 2007.
