Great Lakes Data Systems (GLDS) has promoted Garrick Russell to president and chief operations officer.
Russell joined GLDS in 2003 and was promoted to vice president of operations in 2006, assuming responsibility for the company’s daily operations.
The president’s position was relinquished by Lon Rosado, who still retains the title of CEO.
As president, Russell will serve as chief advisor to Rosado, reporting to the company’s board of directors, and responsible for the company’s worldwide growth in the billing, provisioning and subscriber management market.
“Garrick has brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team and has been instrumental in driving our product and company direction, fueling our continued growth,” said Rosado.
Russell has more than 16 years of experience in billing, subscriber management and customer care for major cable and telecommunications vendors, including DST Innovis (acquired by Amdocs), Alopa Networks (acquired by Arris) and Jacobs Rimell (acquired by Amdocs).
