The RVU Alliance is at IBC demonstrating a range of servers, set-top box and television client solutions, reference software stacks, test tools and silicon platforms that can work together to create a manageable home network connecting multiple media devices.
RVU servers provide a central point in the home that hosts a user interface that can be accessed by connected devices with no additional hardware required.
Alliance members Broadcom, DirecTV, Entropic, JetHead Development, Marvell, Pace, Sigma Designs and STMicroelectronics were all demonstrating their latest RVU-based solutions at the IBC Show.
The RVU protocol is available to CE manufacturers via the publicly available RVU Protocol Specification.
