The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) and the ANGA Cable Show have inked a cooperation agreement that will help them coordinate and promote their respective events.
“The need for the technical expertise and relationships that SCTE in the United States and ANGA in Europe provide transcends geographic boundaries,” said SCTE CTO and senior vice president of engineering Daniel Howard. “We believe that this agreement will benefit the industry worldwide by creating new opportunities for the sharing of technical expertise, innovative approaches, industry best practices and standards development.”
The cable entities said they would work with each other as “International Cable Show Partners” to improve both SCTE Cable-Tec Expo and the ANGA Cable Show. As part of that agreement, they will collaborate on identifying relevant topics, as well as targeting new technologies.
Exton, Pa.-based SCTE and Cologne, Germany-based ANGA also plan on providing moderators and speakers for the respective technical conference sessions.
“The SCTE Cable-Tec Expo with its high technical expertise is the perfect transatlantic partner for our European ANGA Cable Show,” said Peter Charisse, managing director of the ANGA Cable Show. “We highly appreciate the exchange of knowhow, topics and speakers, as this will surely provide some interesting insights into the goings-on in cable business across the pond and make our congress agenda even more international than ever.”
