SCTE reveals ’07 board candidates

The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) has announced the candidates vying for one of the seven seats on a 17-member board that are up for election in 2007.

Region 1 — representing Calif., Hawaii, Nev.
Roger L. Paul, Comcast Cable Communications (Incumbent)
Keith Vaughn, Time Warner Cable
Bob Weaver, Cox Communications

Region 2 — representing Ariz., Colo., N.M., Utah, and Wyo.
Frank Eichenlaub, Scientific Atlanta, A Cisco Company (Incumbent)
Dan Murphy, Charter Communications
Dick Rohm, Cable One

Region 6 — representing Minn., N.D., S.D., and Wis.
Alex Balander, Charter Communications
Aaron Johnson, Cannon Valley Cablevision
Robert Schaeffer, Technology Planners (Incumbent)

Region 9 — representing Fla., Ga., S.C. and Puerto Rico
Stephen R. Brazil, MCR Group Inc.
John P. Weeks Jr., John Weeks Enterprises
Ken Williams, Cox Communications Inc.

Region 11– representing Del., Md., N.J., and Pa.
Gregory D. Allshouse, Comcast Cable Communications Inc.

SCTE members will begin casting their ballots in January. Election results will be announced by April 15.

Newly-elected directors will take office to begin their two-year terms on June 19 at SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2007, set for June 19-22 in Orlando, Fla.
