SeaChange International has hired cable operator industry veteran Andrei Noppe as senior vice president and general manager of its EMEA/APAC region.
Noppe most recently served as executive vice president of the M7 Group in Luxemburg, which offers satellite and direct-to-home (DTH) TV services in the Netherlands, Belgium and Austria under the brands CanalDigitaal, TV Vlaanderen, TeleSAT and AustriaSAT.
He was also managing director of Canal Digitaal, the satellite and DTH television operator in the Netherlands prior to it being merged into M7. Before that, Noppe was CTO at Casema, the Netherlands’ third-largest cable operator at the time, now merged into Ziggo, and managing director at Primacom, a cable operator in Germany.
SeaChange said Noppe’s background in technology, engineering, operations, customer service and more included improving the quality of service at cable TV operators and increasing operational efficiencies.
“Andrei’s knowledge of the cable industry and operational leadership will serve SeaChange well in delivering on our commitments to our customers and driving the next phase of growth in the region,” SeaChange CEO Raghu Rau said.
