SeaChange lands another customer for its Adrenalin platform

April 26, 2012 By Mike Robuck

SeaChange International recently chalked up another win for its multi-screen video back office and client platform, Adrenalin.

SeaChange has installed Adrenalin’s back office with Cablenet in Cyprus, which is also using the vendor’s Stagis and Casis product lines, in order to provision its video-on-demand service.

In addition to enabling VOD back office, Adrenalin, which made its debut near the end of 2010, also supports time-shifted TV – including start-over TV, catch-up TV and network PVR – and price promotions.

Founded in 2003, Cablenet provides Internet, television and fixed telephony services to more than 30,000 subscribers.

“We’ve built our market-leading position on having the latest technologies, the fastest networks and innovative services that subscribers love,” said Nicolas Shiacolas, managing director of Cablenet Communication Systems. “The SeaChange Adrenalin back office will allow us to extend that ethos into the domain of video-on-demand and multi-screen TV. It’s a first-class system with lots of features to help us better serve our customers.”

Adrenalin is a key component in SeaChange’s shift from a hardware VOD server vendor to a more software-centric company. The platform received a big nod of approval from Liberty Global last year when it announced it was using Adrenalin to help provision its Horizon service.
