SeaWell Networks has attracted two prominent executives to its management team. Jeff Huppertz has joined the company as senior vice president of business and corporate development, and Duncan Potter has been named chief marketing officer.
Huppertz most recently has been general partner at JRP Partners. Before that, he served as CEO of R.L. Drake and held a number of leadership positions at Motorola, as well as Cisco’s Scientific Atlanta division. He was also vice president and general manager of Tellabs’ MSO Business Unit.
At SeaWell, he will be responsible for advancing strategic partnerships, cultivating key customer relationships, and creating strategies that expand SeaWell’s solutions in new verticals and applications.
Potter joins SeaWell directly from Edgeware, where he held the same CMO title. Prior to that, Potter served in a variety of marketing roles at Westcon Group, Extreme Networks, Cisco and 3Com.
SeaWell CEO Brian Collie said, “We now have the management team and the organization in place to ensure the execution of our strategy to become the clear leader in enabling service providers to personalize each viewer’s experience, drive better value for viewers and increase revenue earned per video stream.”
SeaWell has introduced an adaptive bit rate (ABR) management solution that does double duty as an ad insertion system.
