Sencore has taken the wraps off of an updated version of its CMA 1820 compressed media analyzer, which includes compliance testing for both broadcast and Internet streaming, at this week’s IBC show.
Sencore said the new CMA 1820 capabilities support in-depth analysis of video encoding in all leading formats – including H.264, MPEG-2 and VC-1 in container files such as Transport Stream, 3GP, ASF, Flash, MP4, Smooth Streaming and QuickTime.
This eliminates the need for visual inspection or additional compliance testing from a different source.
“Today’s video content is being sent out using a variety of delivery methods, and the newest and fastest-growing market is the Internet,” said Thomas Stingley, executive vice president of sales and marketing at Sencore. “As content developers continue to move to the Internet, the CMA 1820 solution ensures their content is encoded properly in advance for successful delivery.”
