Jungo introduced software that lets any set-top box with a USB port connect to any home or wireless network.
“Modern STBs require extended connectivity capabilities for LAN and WAN networks,” said Ophir Herbst, general manager of Jungo Connectivity Software.
“Jungo’s software connects STBs with common Wi-Fi dongles and 3G USB modems, thereby enabling new and innovative TV use cases,” Herbst continued.
The operator has a choice of devices – either a Wi-Fi dongle or a 3G USB modem.
Jungo is showing off its software at the IBC show in Amsterdam.
