Shaw Communications announced that the Shaw family recently completed the purchase of an additional 1 million Class B non-voting shares of the company.
According to information provided to Shaw Communications, the Shaw family, and entities owned or controlled by family members, holds 49.2 million Class A and Class B shares of the company.
The Shaw family also advised the company that it would continue buying more share in the future.
Shaw serves 3.4 million customers, including 1.8 million Internet subscribers and more than 1 million phone customers.
Shaw is also working on the launch of a wireless service.
