Shaw Communications has launched three new TV Everywhere apps for its Shaw Cable and Shaw Direct subscribers.
The new Shaw Go Kids apps provide authenticated subscribers access to Family Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior programs anywhere, anytime on iOS and Android devices. The Shaw Go Family, Shaw Go Disney XD and Shaw Go Disney Junior apps are available for download today and include access to programming such as “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse,” “Austin & Ally” and “Mighty Med.”
“The exciting launch of the Shaw Go Kids apps truly enhances our great children’s programming with added flexibility, access and convenience for our customers,” said Jay Mehr, executive vice president and chief operations officer, Shaw Communications. “The expansion of the Shaw Go apps suite is a continuation of our commitment to provide our customers with the content they want to watch, when and how they want it.”
The Shaw Go Disney Junior app features a character-driven carousel and easy-to-navigate display that was designed for children ages 2-7. For the teen and tween age categories, the Family and Disney XD apps feature intelligent streaming to provide the best video quality possible regardless of connection speed.
All Shaw Go Kids apps include video bookmarking capabilities to stop and play-back shows at anytime as well as parental controls that require PIN access.
