Starz announced on Thursday that its standalone OTT service and TV Everywhere apps are now available on LG smart TVs running webOS, just one day after Showtime launched its app for the same TVs, touting itself as the first cable network to do so.
Both launches include availability on LG’s 2018 OLED TVs and Super UHD TVs with AI ThinQ.
Access on the select LG smart TVs includes each network’s standalone OTT offering and their respective authenticated TV Everywhere service that’s included in pay TV subscriptions. Showtime’s OTT video service is available for $10.99 per month, while Starz is offered for $8.99 per month.
Showtime and Starz apps are also available on Apple and Amazon devices, Roku, Xbox One, and select Samsung smart TVs.
