Fiber-optics network service provider Sidera Networks announced that Clint Heiden was hired as its new president.
In his new role, Heiden is responsible for all aspects of Sidera’s revenue generation, including sales, marketing, product management and sales engineering.
“We are thrilled to add Clint to our leadership team,” said Sidera Networks CEO Mike Sicoli. “He brings an entrepreneurial approach to business that is backed by nearly 20 years of executive experience within the telecom and Internet industries.”
Prior to joining Sidera, Heiden served as president of Paetec Fiber Services and National Accounts, where he led efforts related to the company’s fiber operations and the strategy for retaining and growing its largest accounts. Windstream recently bought Paetec.
Heiden has also held executive positions at Intellifiber (Cavalier), Cable & Wireless America, Qwest, UUNET and InterCon Systems.
“It is an honor to join the Sidera Networks team,” Heiden said. “The company is well known in the industry for delivering high-quality services and customer-focused support. I look forward to using my skills and experience to further enhance this reputation.”
In October, Sidera expanded its colocation facility in Philadelphia to offer carrier-neutral connectivity to more than 25 service providers.
Sidera was formerly known as RCN Metro Optical Networks until Abry Partners bought RCN and subsequently renamed and split it off as Sidera.
