Sprint said it is now providing unified communications (UC) to businesses and government customers.
The service supports single-number calling for cell and landline phones and unified e-mail and voicemail, among other applications.
These and other unified communications applications can be combined, Sprint said, with customer relationship and supply chain management, as well as sales and field force automation.
Sprint assets that support unified communications include Sprint Global MPLS, Sprint SIP Trunking and Sprint Mobile Integration. Sprint is working to integrate those assets with UC products from Cisco, IBM and Microsoft.
