4K TVs are the TV industry’s latest big technological gamble, expecting consumers to make the switch to the ultra HD format. But how long will it take for the 4K adoption to happen?
Well, according to a recent study by IHS, one-third of all U.S. households will have 4K TVs in 2019.
That number is higher than the 4K penetration expected in the EU by then (25 percent) or Japan (14 percent).
The brands expected to dominate 4K will probably stay the same as well, with Samsung expected to maintain its 28 percent control of the market.
