Suddenlink Communications has hired Christopher Arft as its vice president of information technology infrastructure.
In his new job, Arft will be based in St. Louis at the company’s corporate headquarters and will report to senior vice president and chief information officer Bob Putnam.
Suddenlink said that Arft would focus on providing leadership to the IT infrastructure team, which serves more than 5,000 employees across Suddenlink’s U.S. footprint.
Arft has a 13-year career in information technology. Most recently, he served as director of IT infrastructure and support with Savvis Communications in St. Louis.
Suddenlink is the seventh-largest cable operator in the United States, with 1.3 million residential customers and thousands of commercial customers, mainly in Arkansas, Louisiana, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas and West Virginia.
