Suddenlink promotes Pflantz, Sonne

January 28, 2014 By ECN Staff

Suddenlink Communications announced it has promoted Mike Pflantz to senior vice president of corporate finance and accounting at the company’s headquarters in St. Louis.

Suddenlink also announced that Jared Sonne was promoted to the position of vice president of operations for the company’s Texoma Region, which includes cable systems in East Texas and Oklahoma. Sonne, who will be based in Tyler, Texas, is now responsible for service delivery, customer growth and community relations.

Pflantz, who has 17 years of experience in finance and accounting, joined Suddenlink in 2003. He has served in a number of positions, including assistant controller and, most recently, vice president of corporate finance. Prior to Suddenlink, Pflantz was audit manager for Arthur Andersen LLP, St. Louis, and director of external reporting for Aurora Foods, a St. Louis-based packaged food manufacturer.

“We are delighted to promote Mike to this important position,” said Suddenlink chief financial officer Mary Meduski. “He is a proven executive with a respected background in our business and in the fields of finance and accounting.”

Sonne, an 11-year veteran of the cable industry, joined Suddenlink in 2006 as vice president of fiscal operations. Most recently, he served as senior director of operations. Before joining Suddenlink, he was with Cox Communications.

“We are delighted to promote Jared to this important position,” said senior vice president of Texoma Region Operations Todd Cruthird. “He is a proven executive with a respected background in all facets of our business.”
