Summit Broadband has hired two executives to help the company expand its fiber network and customer base.
The company has hired Peter Murray as director of carrier services, responsible for maintaining and growing the carrier’s customer base. Murray will also manage service levels throughout the territory.
Prior to joining Summit Broadband, Murray was general manager of wireless solutions at Wireless Access Communications.
Thomas Foster has joined Summit Broadband as director of technical operations. Foster will oversee residential field operations, which include installation and repair of the company’s broadband network in residential communities throughout Lee and Collier counties in Florida.
Foster has over 15 years of technical, operations and customer service experience including leadership roles at Cisco Systems and Time Warner Cable.
“Both Peter and Tom have proven results in ensuring customers receive the highest level of service and superior technology,” said Mark Lipford, COO of Summit Broadband. “Their leadership will help elevate Summit Broadband’s unique position in the Florida marketplace as an excellent value option for consumers seeking robust, reliable data, phone and TV services.”
Summit Broadband provides phone, high-speed Internet, cable TV and data transport services to both commercial and residential customers throughout Southwest Florida and Central Florida. The company also offers dark fiber transport to enterprise and carrier customers. In 2013 Summit Broadband merged with US Metro, Marco Island Cable, and NuVu.
