Sunrise Telecom introduced a module for its test platform for testing gigabit Ethernet networks. The GigE Module for Sunrise Telecom’s Modular Test Toolkit (MTT) platform helps technicians of all levels validate service-level agreements and verify traffic prioritization.
Maintaining prioritized quality of service (QoS) on differentiated services means the network must be tested with traffic that closely resembles real scenarios. With the GigE Module, technicians can verify traffic prioritization and routing through the active device by sending multiple streams with different tags, Sunrise said.
To ensure quality of experience (QoE) for the customer, the GigE Module generates and measures up to eight independent streams per port with different MAC, VLAN, IP and MPLS configurations and displays statistics for each individual stream.
“As Ethernet technology becomes pervasive, service providers are challenged to cost-effectively deploy and maintain services and networks. To achieve profitability, they must decrease time to revenue,” said Bahaa Moukadam, Sunrise Telecom’s CEO. “Our new GigE Module helps roll out new services faster than ever, dramatically cutting the time it takes to resolve problems, and drive even higher customer satisfaction.”
The GigE Module is part of the MTT modular handheld platform. The GigE Module is immediately available.
